Need a little more living space? Perhaps a home office, guest room, or studio? A home addition may not be an option, but one of Modern Cabana’s sustainably built pre-fab models could be just the answer.
The San Francisco-based company creates modular pre-fabricated designs in a range of sizes and styles. The component parts are shipped to their new home, where they are assembled on-site.
A wide variety of options is available to suit any need, from the 10’x12′ Standard Cabana ($11,500) to deluxe models more than twice that size. Many of the structures are used for offices or studio space, but larger models can be customized with interior walls and bathrooms.
The manufacturer designs its models to offer maximum functionality in a small footprint, and environmentally-friendly production is a priority. Construction waste is minimized, and materials are carefully selected for their sustainability. Forest Stewardship Council-certified lumber, recycled denim insulation, and bamboo flooring are examples of some of the sustainable building materials that are utilized.
