Wenger EvoWood Walnut-Handled Swiss Army Knife
For over 100 years, Wenger has been one of the two official suppliers of knives to the Swiss Army. The EvoWood edition knives utilize post-industrial recycled walnut for their beautifully crafted, ergonomic handles, so each one is unique. There are four different sizes available; we like the EvoWood 16’s balance of features and compact size. The Wenger EvoWood 16 Swiss Army Knife retails for $89, but you can find it on sale at Amazon for $60.70.
Schroeder Hand Drill
A drill that’s always ready to use, never needs recharging, and costs less than 30 bucks? A quality hand-powered drill is a handy tool to have in the box, since the vast majority of tasks around the house aren’t heavy-duty jobs (be honest, was your last job putting a lag bolt through a joist or hanging a picture?) The Schroeder Hand Drill‘s 3-jaw chuck accepts bits up to 1/4″, and it’s perfect for precision jobs ($22.85).
