Philips has established itself as a one of the leading innovators in the LED light bulb market. It’s no secret that we’ve been pretty impressed by their 12-watt AmbientLED bulb and the 10-watt L-Prize bulb, both of which are roughly equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent bulb. Add to that group the 8-watt AmbientLED (designed to replace a 40-watt incandescent A19 bulb), which is perfect for smaller lamps and accent lighting.
Like its big brothers, the 8-watt AmbientLED is mercury-free, fully dimmable, and has a lifespan of over 20 years. It uses 80% less energy than a traditional incandescent (paying for itself many times over), yet still offers a warm, comfortable glow.
